Hapara Teacher Dashboard
Hapara Dashboard is the central hub for viewing learners’ work in G Suite. It’s an organized, simple platform that enables teachers to view, access, and give feedback on digital work. With Dashboard, you have one-click access to Google Drive files in class folders you choose to create. Hapara Dashboard was built to save teachers time and energy managing learners working in G Suite. - Hapara Support Page
We use the Highlights feature of Hapara. We don't need to use the file share features as we use Google Classroom.
Click here to access Hapara Teacher Dashboard. A link to Highlights is on the Dashboard.
*Please note that students do NOT log into Hapara, or even notice that anything is there. They don't need to do anything to make it work.

Hapara highlights
"Hapara Highlights helps you see what learners are doing in the Google Chrome Browser in near-real-time. Feedback mechanisms allow you to reinforce pro-learning behavior and re-direct unfocused behavior. You can remotely open or close a browser tab on learner devices to re-focus them to the task at hand. You can share files, sites or URLs with your students easily. Hapara Highlights also allows you to directly send messages to students and provide more personalized and private feedback. Highlights supports you in engaging students in conversations about their learning and online behavior. You can also tag activities to provide guidance and feedback at any time."

Importing Your CLass From Google Classroom
After you add students to Google Classroom and after they all click join and are officially added to your Google Classroom (Elementary) or after they all add using your class code (Middle School), then you are ready to set up Hapara!
To get your Hapara set up by syncing your Google Classroom please do the following:
Click on the Highlights button across the top and bookmark that page as that is the one you will want to use the most.
If you have to add or remove a student from your Google Classroom, it should update the change in Hapara as well. If it doesn't, click on the class in Hapara and click on "Class Info" across the top. You can then click on the "sync class" button in the upper right.
To get your Hapara set up by syncing your Google Classroom please do the following:
- Go to https://www.teacherdashboard.com/
- It will have you authenticate your Google Account. (If it gives you an error here, please let Cynthia know.)
- It will show that you have no classes, but you can see in the upper right corner a button that says "Add new class". Click that button. It might even have an "Add from Google Classroom" button right in the center of the screen.
- Choose your Google Classroom (be sure to choose the right one, not one you made to demo or the one you made last year. For MS: ONLY add classes that are entirely made of 6th graders).
- For Elementary, choose "Lower School" as your school from the dropdown at the bottom. Middle School choose "Middle School".
- Click on the "Add classes to Hapara" button.
